EQUIP is MCU’s formal training time. We want to encourage you to include some Christian education to round off your secular education at Murdoch.
We meet together each week to equip ourselves for effective ministry, that we may be faithful and productive servants in God’s Kingdom.
By making the most of your time and freedom while at uni, you will gain skills and understanding which will sharpen your mind and conduct, and enhance your Christian life and ministry.
Coming to EQUIP will transform you and have lasting impact both now and in the future - here on campus, back in your local church and for the rest of your life.
Courses include: Personal Evangelism, Evangelism 2.0, Ministry to Others, Body-Building 101, Bible Overview, How to Prepare & lead a small group Bible Study,World Views, Engaging with other religions, Theology 101, Understanding the Old Testament as a Christian (Biblical Theology), plus lots of others.
Our EQUIP time is broken into two halves: ‘The First Hour’ (great name, hey!), includes singing, a ‘Tool-box’ time where we examine a theme or an area of ministry together, some prayer time follwed by supper. Then we break into the second half which revolves around our respective ‘Elective’ groups.
